Nylon is a general term for thermoplastic resins containing repeating amide groups—[NHCO]—on the main chain of the molecule. It was invented by the famous American chemist Carothers and his scientific research team.
Nylon is the first synthetic fiber to appear in the world. It can be made into long fiber or short fiber. Its outstanding advantage is that it has higher abrasion resistance than other fibers.
