PC (polycarbonate) is a non-crystalline engineering plastic, one of the thermoplastic plastics that can maintain strong toughness and dimensional stability in a wide temperature range. It has excellent impact resistance. Polycarbonate can reach 140°F. (60℃) water temperature is not affected, and can be used in boiling water under limited conditions. Polycarbonate is not affected by grease, petroleum, detergents, aliphatic hydrocarbons, most inorganic acids and higher alcohols. Polycarbonate is susceptible to chlorinated and aromatic hydrocarbons, as well as most aromatic solvents, esters, and ketones. The color of polycarbonate is generally transparent to water and white with 90% transmittance. Polycarbonate has a good balance between mechanical properties and electrical properties. Moreover, the material is transparent and shows self-digestibility, so it is widely used in various fields from electrical and electronic fields to automobiles and medical fields.
