A Raised Support Inside the Enclosure
This injection molded bracket concept positions a screw-mounted terminal strip above the enclosure base. Its bridge-shaped body has a flat upper deck, an open space beneath it and two outward mounting feet. The deck holes locate the terminal assembly; the foot holes attach the support to the customer's enclosure bosses or mounting plate. Both interfaces are designed around the actual assembly.
The part is an internal mechanical support, not the junction-box shell, a DIN rail or the terminal block itself. It may be considered for layouts where an elevated fixing surface is needed without adding a full internal mounting panel. The illustrations show a proposed geometry rather than a stock item or verified production sample.
Start With the Complete Height Stack
A bracket can match the hole pattern and still interfere with the lid. Review the enclosure base or boss height, bracket deck height, terminal body, screw heads and connected wire envelope as one stack. Include the tool space needed to tighten terminal screws after installation. The space below the deck is a design feature whose permitted use must be established in the assembly layout.
Clearance around cable entries and the service loop also matters. A wire should not be forced against a molded edge merely because the terminal strip fits between the sidewalls. Provide the cable-entry locations and intended wire routing so the support footprint can be adjusted before the mold design is agreed.

Two Hole Patterns, Two Assembly Tasks
The terminal-strip fixing pattern and enclosure fixing pattern do not have to be the same. Keeping these functions separate allows the support to bridge between the enclosure's existing mounting points and a different terminal arrangement. Hole position, fastener access and the available bearing area should be reviewed at both levels.
Specify the actual screw type, mating thread and assembly direction. Through holes do not imply that the bracket includes metal threads or supplied hardware. If captive nuts, inserts or an alternative fixing arrangement are needed, identify them in the RFQ for a separate feasibility review.
Checks Before Releasing the Mold
- Use the enclosure datum to locate both feet and verify that the support sits without rocking.
- Review the deck span and wall transitions against terminal mass and the forces applied during assembly and wiring.
- Check mold opening direction, draft and hole-core access for the selected bridge geometry.
- Keep gate vestige and ejector features away from required seating surfaces where practical.
- Trial the bracket with the actual terminal strip, screws and enclosure, then check lid closure and maintenance access.
Specify Electrical Material Requirements Explicitly
"ABS" alone does not establish flame classification, temperature suitability or electrical insulation approval. If the equipment requires a particular resin grade, flammability classification or supporting documentation, provide that requirement at the enquiry stage. This concept carries no claimed voltage rating, fire rating or electrical certification. Required creepage, clearance and equipment approval remain matters for the complete assembly design.
